PTE Exam Date 2026: Upcoming Test Dates, Booking & Rescheduling Guide

Pearson offers test dates on a regular basis; however, availability may differ according to your test centre's location. This means that the test date found in a different city may not be available, or the options may change as soon as booking appointments. Hence, it is advisable to use the live booking system instead of referring to a non-official calendar or to dates listed previously.

PTE Academic test is taken at an authorised centre. Although Pearson notes there may be bookings available as few as 24 hours in advance, this depends on the availability of appointments. Therefore, it is not a guarantee that there will be an opening for a last-minute test.

We recommend you check with your university, visa or other application to make sure PTE Academic is the correct test for them. Some UK visa routes require PTE Academic UKVI – see the requirements from your institution or relevant authority.

Follow these steps:

1. Choose the correct test. Check the requirements of your university or application before selecting PTE Academic or another PTE test.
2. Find a test centre. Enter your city or preferred location and review the centres and appointment slots available.
3. Select a date and time. Choose an appointment that leaves enough time for preparation, results, and application deadlines.
4. Sign in or create a myPTE account. Avoid creating more than one account.

6. Pay the displayed fee. Use a payment method accepted for the country where you will take the test.
7. Save your confirmation. Check your email and myPTE dashboard for the appointment details. Pearson advises checking your spam or junk folder if a confirmation email does not arrive within two working days.

Pearson tests can be scheduled in India at various test centres; however, the availability of test dates depends upon the city, centre and the availability of seats. Pearson has not released a list of fixed test dates that apply to all test centres across India. To check the PTE test dates in India, follow the availability check link below. If you cannot find a convenient slot, try:

• Search other centers in the vicinity.
• Check back later to see if a booking slot gets released.
• Look for alternative days or times, when possible.
• Make an early booking if there is a specific deadline for the application or visa you need.

Never make any travel plans based on the assumption that a center follows a particular schedule each week. Always verify your date and time of booking through myPTE.

The fee of the PTE exam varies according to the type of exam and the country in which it will be taken. Pearson instructs candidates to choose their location to check out local rates. The fee displayed while booking is the applicable one.

The PTE exam fee depends on the test and the country where you take it. Pearson directs candidates to select their location to view local pricing; the amount shown during the official booking process is the relevant fee for your appointment

Pearson says payment is made during booking and should be in the currency of the country where you will sit the test. Its help center lists Visa and Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay among accepted options, and says PayU is also accepted in India. Valid PTE vouchers can be applied to the test fee. Check the payment options shown at checkout, as they may vary by location.

Beware of any promises made to you guaranteeing your results or pricing way below what Pearson charges for its service.

If something changes for you, log in to myPTE and click on the Reschedule/Cancel option in your Booking. The current policy from Pearson allows you to reschedule your test for free, provided that there are at least 14 days remaining until the date of the test. If there are 14 days or less remaining, you won't be able to reschedule; you'll have to cancel the booking and make a new one.

Pearson’s current cancellation policy says:

• Policy: Cancellation / Rescheduling Policy
• Cancel your registration more than 14 full calendar days before your test date to get a full refund.
• If you cancel 14–7 full calendar days before your test date, you get a 50% refund.
• In case of a cancellation 7 or fewer full calendar days prior to the beginning of your test, you won't be able to receive a refund.

There might be other things that play into whether you would be able to cancel or reschedule. In any case, you should always look into the latest information about cancellations/rescheduling available at your myPTE account. If Pearson decides to cancel or reschedule your test, it will give you the directions regarding receiving a refund/scheduling a new test.

Make sure that you book as soon as you decide on the right test and have an appropriate plan for preparation, especially when you have a deadline for your application or if you have to travel to a different city. Booking early allows you more time to look at all the options in terms of dates and centers available, although it will not secure a certain spot for you.

Keep enough time for preparation, rescheduling if needed, results processing, and anything else that you may have to do for your university or application. According to Pearson, results can be provided within two days, although some results take up to five working days.

Practical tip: Choose a date that gives you a buffer before your deadline. Avoid planning around the shortest possible result turnaround.

To find an appropriate date of PTE examination 2026, one needs to visit the live booking system of Pearson in order to choose the right city and center where one can take the test. It is necessary to confirm the test format and identification documents required, verify the price indicated during the check-out procedure, and make the booking before the deadline of the application process.
