What is
GRE?
GRE means “Graduate Record Examination” which is administered by Educational Testing Service(ETS). GRE is an assessment test used to evaluate the qualifications of a student to meet the eligibility for studies, admissions at any graduate program globally in any of the university. Typically, majority of universities across globe are likely to use GRE to analyze any student before their acceptance into their specialized courses of Masters, Executive MBA and PHD as per requirement. Syllabus 2026Analytical Writing (AWA)
Scoring Scale: 0–6 (in 0.5-point increments), This section has one type of Issue Essay. You will be given a statement and you need to write carefully in detailed explaination with strong reasons and examples. Quantitative Reasoning(Quant)
Scoring Scale: 130–170 (in 1-point increments), This section tests your basic math and data interpretation skills. The topics covered include: Arithmetic and Number Properties Algebra and Equations Geometry (Lines, Angles, Triangles, Circles) Data Analysis (Graphs, Charts, Statistics) Word Problems. Since this section requires students to solve questions with both speed and accuracy, enrolling in a GRE classes can help them get familiar with the problem solving and pattern of the exam through practice sessions
Verbal Reasoning (Verbal)
ScoreScale:130-170 (1 point increments) which tests students reading and lingual comprehension abilities.There are three types of questions including:
• Reading comprehension is a test which requires students to read both short and long passages and then answer multiple-choice questions concerning the core ideas, theme and details of the passages.
• Text completion is another test where students are asked to fill in the most appropriate word in a given sentence from a list of answer options.This assesses students’ lexical resources and context analysis skills.
• Sentence Equivalence: This type of question requires students to select two words that can fill in a-blank sentence and carry the same meaning.
